Might Have To Take My Webcam Down

    October 26th, 2006 byPhilip Nicosia

With the ever increasing levels of the lake at Watermead which is now over the wall and creeping up the bank I might have to take my webcam down before it’s submerged in water.

The water has got a way to go yet but it looks like it is steadily getting there. At this rate I might need a boat to get to my front door soon.

What amazes me is we still have a hosepipe ban?

      Hi Philip

I live on Guillemot Way and have you seen the lake today? It is spilling all over the path ways and the ‘pier’ outside the old folks home is submerged!

It’s getting worse everyday. When I first wrote this the lake went down after a few days but the worrying thing was it hadn’t even rained for a week before the water started to raise.

Now a month on and it’s higher than I’ve ever seen it. I am starting to wonder if the builders or roadworks men have inadvertently blocked something.
