Why Are Girls So Bitchy?
January 16th, 2007 byOkay, is this representative of girls that live in the UK or is it just the celebrities in Big Brother?
I can’t believe how bitchy and two faced they are? Danielle especially. She seems to moan about anything if Shilpa is involved in it but won’t say anything to her face.
They are so ungrateful. Especially when it comes to the cooking.
Danielle, Jade and Jo are ganging up on poor old Shilpa. Some say it is bullying, some say it is racist but most agree it is out of jealoulsy.
Channel 4’s Big Brain has remarked that there are 4 types of bitching that have all been seen in the house.
Base Bitching — This takes the form of insults that are exaggerated and little more than childish name-calling
Bond Bitching — This is where you see 2 housemates bitching about a 3rd, sitting together and whispering. This is bond-bitching with two purposes firstly to cement a relationship with one another by confiding and the other is conspiratational
Assassination Bitching — This is like applying a shotgun to victim’s head and pulling the trigger. It challenges the victim’s character and creates a new view of them in both the public and the housemate’s eyes.
Scorched Earth Bitching — This is really the most strategic form of bitching presenting the bitch in a good light while destroying other relationships in one fell swoop. For example kindly telling someone what others have said about them, then waiting for the bomb to explode. The ripple effect of these strategic bitch-fests have the most long term damage.
That’s a lot of bitching!
Quite how poor old Shilpa is managing to cope with it all is beyond me. It says a lot about her strength of character and the gulf between her and the other girls.

Racism is a biased term intentionally weighted in favour of the immigrants, jewish in this case, who invented the concept. People who hate dogs don’t hate dogs because they are dogs they hate dogs because they smell, bark all day or shit on the pavement. The term racism puts the blame on the victim. If I went to live in an igloo and offended all the eskimos would that be *their* problem? I don’t think so.

You are right in that all these forms of bitching/bullying are right there - the most obvious is the trying to convince Shilpa that she was ‘not genuine’ for about an hour!
I remember having this exact same tactic used on me at my school. It is effective with weak-minded friends of the target as they will start to mistrust the friendship as fake too. I have seen it in workplaces as well.

Interesting how this article on bitching (bullying) is quite hard to find in the daily news listings now - and also interesting how a search on the BB site has no returns anymore for racist, racism, bullies, and only one for bullying that brings up a page where bullying isn’t mentioned.
The clean-up is happening because BB know that they are in a dangerous legal position, of knowing about the bullying and stating that it can be clearly seen in the house, but doing nothing about it.
If there is a court case, I will be urging C4s ISP to disclose recent deletions.
It will be interesting to see if BB have kept all the footage they ought to….
