Gamucci Micro Electronic Cigarette replacement arrives

    June 18th, 2008 byPhilip Nicosia

Well I finally received my replacement Gamucci Micro Electronic Cigarette direct from Gamucci and I have to say it is just fantastic. It is 50 times better than the last one I had and for a mini cigarette produces plenty enough vapour to be satisfying. So much for IWOOT not believing me that my original was faulty.

I’ve been using it for a couple of days now and have been very pleased with it in general. I have to say though I am starting to think that I am lucky in that I received a good one. I have a few e-cigarettes now and it seems in general that there is a high failure rate on these.

My new Gamucci Micro for example although working great arrived with a charger that wouldn’t charge and one battery that I can only imagine has a faulty sensor as when you suck on it you have to suck real hard to make it work. Fortunately for me I had spares from the other one which the only problem with was the atomizer not being capable of producing vapour in any significant quantities.

My Gamucci Classic which I’ve only had for a few weeks has given up the ghost. Whereas before it would produce clouds of vapour it is pretty much non-existent now.

I have another e-cig that lasted for 24 hours and am waiting on a replacement and another 2 batteries that wouldn’t hold charge.

I’m also not convinced of the claims that a cartridge is equivalent to 20 cigarettes. Based on that claim it is a lot cheaper to e-smoke than it is to smoke real cigarettes but I personally think with these mini cigarettes that it would be below 10 cigarettes per cartridge when the vapour becomes so small you need to change.

I still think the concept is great and a much healthier alternative to smoking real cigarettes but there is a lot of room for improvement yet. I’m sure we’ll get there in time but then if they took off so much the Government would probably ban these as well.

      Hi Phil,

I was wondering if you get that vile taste toward the end of cartridges with your MINI - I must say I don’t remember getting it with the regular tobacco flavour, but with these new flavours I find the taste gets rather nauseating toward the end, even tho a fair quantity of vapour is still being produced.

I’ve not experienced that myself with the Tobaco cartridges. The only time I have had a vile taste was when the battery got stuck once and after that I got a burnt taste in my mouth and had to wash the atomizer to get rid of it.

I’m thinking some of the extra ingredients from the flavoured cartridges may have gunked my atomiser up rather more quickly than the regular tobacco cartridges. Perhaps I should give mine a wash too. How often do you clean your atomiser?

      Thx

      Stan

I just run it under a tap with warm water for a while then blow through the small hole on the battery end and then leave it to dry. You have to thoroughly dry it and can speed up the process with a hair dryer.

I tend to wash mine when it starts producing less vapour even after putting a new cartridge on.

Ah, this is it - with mine there’s no problem with vapour production - it’s WHAT is being vapourised towards the end of a cartridge that is bothering me - the taste would seem to indicate it might be the “material” in the core of the atomiser itself (see my last post in your original Gamucci thread).

Anyway, I’ve washed mine per your instructions and the bad taste appears to have gone - I’m not getting it now even with half-finished cartridges (which I was forced to discard temporarily because of the appalling taste). I’m hoping it was just “overcooked” ingredients clogging the atomiser - it certainly didn’t taste plasticky, tho this may have been obscured by the various flavours. Must say, I’m quite disturbed by this development - I’d buy a Janty Yentl Kissbox, but as far as atomisers go, they’re all pretty much the same right now aren’t they?

I bought a Gamucci classic about a week ago and after 2 days it was producing hardly any vapour. One of the batteries was not working either. I’ve sent the whole thing back to Gamucci and am waiting for a replacement. They guarantee the atomiser for a year as well as the other parts . It’s in their guarantee. With this in mind why are people sayins atomisers only last about a month. If this is so Gamucci will be replacing mine regularly under the guarantee. Regards paul

Finaly got my gamucci classic back from gamucci it took 3 weeks and 5 phone calls. The first call they said they had not recieved it but i pointed out i sent it by recorded delivery . They said they would call me back on 4 occasions but never did. Although they replaced the whole starter pack in the end i dont think they would have if i had not been so persistent. Anyway had it back 2 weeks now and am pleased so far. A note to gamucci if you say you are gonna call someone back then do it . Thanks for the replacement . Regards paul
