I recently upgraded to an iPhone 3GS and one of the new features on it is the video camera. Playing around with it I decided to mount it to my Vespa GTS 300 to see how good the video was in comparison to the Action Cam I purchased a while ago.
Below are the results.
The results I don’t think are too bad. Unfortunately the windshield got in the way bit and the picture is a bit wavy in pieces but overall it’s quite good.
You can see the Aciton Cam video to compare here.

From Yahoo News
MacNN reports that Greenpeace is planning a rally during Apple’s launch of the iPhone in Europe to protest the use of alleged toxic chemicals in the device, including brominated flame retardants.
The environmental campaigners argue that tests conducted by its UK labs reveal the presence of PVCs and brominated flame retardants (BFRs), both potentially dangerous compounds, which although within the legal limits, the use of which could have been avoided.
Zeina Alhajj, campaign co-ordinator for Greenpeace, told EE Times “The iPhone is a unique product and for us it is a missed opportunity for Apple to combine the innovation of the product with a green performance. If Apple really wants to reinvent the phone, it needs to design out all hazardous substances and materials from its handsets and peripherals”.
Apple aren’t doing anything illegal. They are already committed to eliminate the use of PVC and brominated flame retardants in its products by the end of next year. Why pick on the iPhone? Because they know all the hype around the iPhone will give them publicity.
Get a life Greenpeace! That’s what I say.

I upgraded my iPhone to the latest software 1.1.1 now that there is a less complicated way of jailbreaking and activation thanks to iNdependance which meant I’d still be able to use third party apps and the phone.
Part of the new software includes the new iTunes store running on your iPhone and I was having a play around with it yesterday to see what it was like. When I found something I was interested in I hit the Buy button on the screen and then was prompted to input my iTunes password and much to my surprise it worked and then promptly downloaded my purchase to my iPhone.
I was surprised it worked considering that the iPhone isn’t due for release in the UK until November but then I realized it’s probably because you can do the same on a iPod Touch which is available.

Still waiting to get an iPhone. Well the UK iPhone launch date has been set at November 9th so less than 7 weeks to go. Exclusively on the O2 network with an 18 month contract.
You could always buy one at the Apple store for £269 and unlock it to use on a different network but Apple may tighten that up with the next software upgrade though.
