Gamucci Micro Electronic Cigarette replacement arrives

June 18th, 2008 by Philip Nicosia

Well I finally received my replacement Gamucci Micro Electronic Cigarette direct from Gamucci and I have to say it is just fantastic. It is 50 times better than the last one I had and for a mini cigarette produces plenty enough vapour to be satisfying. So much for IWOOT not believing me that my original was faulty.

    Gamucci micro electronic cigarette

I’ve been using it for a couple of days now and have been very pleased with it in general. I have to say though I am starting to think that I am lucky in that I received a good one. I have a few e-cigarettes now and it seems in general that there is a high failure rate on these.

My new Gamucci Micro for example although working great arrived with a charger that wouldn’t charge and one battery that I can only imagine has a faulty sensor as when you suck on it you have to suck real hard to make it work. Fortunately for me I had spares from the other one which the only problem with was the atomizer not being capable of producing vapour in any significant quantities.

My Gamucci Classic which I’ve only had for a few weeks has given up the ghost. Whereas before it would produce clouds of vapour it is pretty much non-existent now.

I have another e-cig that lasted for 24 hours and am waiting on a replacement and another 2 batteries that wouldn’t hold charge.

I’m also not convinced of the claims that a cartridge is equivalent to 20 cigarettes. Based on that claim it is a lot cheaper to e-smoke than it is to smoke real cigarettes but I personally think with these mini cigarettes that it would be below 10 cigarettes per cartridge when the vapour becomes so small you need to change.

I still think the concept is great and a much healthier alternative to smoking real cigarettes but there is a lot of room for improvement yet. I’m sure we’ll get there in time but then if they took off so much the Government would probably ban these as well.

Big Brother – An accident or deliberate

June 18th, 2008 by Philip Nicosia

Yesterday watching Big Brother, Mohamed was in the diary room when one of the questions he was asked was broadcast to the house much to the annoyance of Alex.

They said it was a mistake and shouldn’t have happened but I reckon they did it on purpose to get Alex ranting and raving again in the house.

    What do you reckon?

What is wrong with the Mobile networks in the UK

June 18th, 2008 by Philip Nicosia

Recently we went away on a short break to Devon. We don’t normally go away in this country but my girlfriend thought it might make a nice change.

Big mistake. It was so bad we came home early. What really pissed me off was there was no mobile phone service where we were staying and to get a signal you had to drive 5 miles! I wasn’t bothered about the phone but I needed to use the data. We had almost a full choice of networks to choose from, O2, Vodafone, T-Mobile and Three. None of them worked.

Now I have never been to a foreign country where we couldn’t get mobile phone service. Even in the remotest of places where you wouldn’t expect to get it we did. So why can’t the UK networks get their act together and give us what we are paying for? A working mobile phone service.

    TalkTalk call the dogs off

June 18th, 2008 by Philip Nicosia

Well Talk Talk have finally called the dogs off today. I was going to wait until it went to court but under pressure from my girlfriend I called Talk Talk customer service and explained again in detail the problem that they continued to bill me for broadband even though I didn’t have with them and to look on the notes on my account to see I was due a credit.

Well they looked, agreed and said a credit would be raised in 72 hours. Well I’ve heard this before and that didn’t work but this morning we got a call from Talk Talk to say the credit had gone through, my account balance was Zero and they would contact the debt collection agency and tell them the same.

Why they couldn’t have done this before 18 months ago I don’t know but thankfully they are out of my life for good.

    Teeth Whitening in London

June 12th, 2008 by Philip Nicosia

I had my teeth whitened about 6 years ago and was really impressed with the results although it did cost me about £600. The only thing with it was that for a few days afterwards my teeth were really sensitive and it was painful at times but it did wear off after a while.

The dentist at the time did explain to me that the results wouldn’t be permanent as at the time I smoked, drank coke and coffee by the bucket load and they would get stained again over time. He was right.

Now that I have given up smoking I decided I would give it another go but was concerned about the sensitivity issue as last time it was a pain. A friend of mine in London put me in touch with the Mayfair Tanning and Waxing company who have recently introduced teeth whitening in London to their services and they use a slightly different process to what I had before that wasn’t sensitive to teeth. I was going up to London anyway for the day so I called them up and spoke to Nicole who went through the process with me and booked me in to have it done.

When I arrived at their salon in Maddox Street, (just off Regents Street) I was greeted by Nicole who once again talked me through the process which involved me sitting in the chair and having about six 3 minute treatments where the gel would be put on my teeth and then a light shone on them for 3 minutes and so on. The whole process took about 45 minutes to do and they did a before and after check on the colour of my teeth and the end result was 6 shades lighter!

I have to say I was really impressed with the outcome with no sensitivity problems and best of all it only cost £199. That’s a whopping £400 less than I paid 6 years ago.

So if you fancy a brighter smile and don’t have the patience for a home kit then give Nicole a ring on 020 7493 1822 and book yourself in. You won’t regret it.
