According to a poll carried out by the Sun Newspaper, Charley is officially the most hated housemate in Big Brother history getting 4 times the votes of the runner up in the poll.
Why doesn’t that surprise me?
What I do think is strange is that she thinks she’s loved on the outside after going through the fake eviction. She obviously ignores all criticism and even though the crowd were shouting ‘Get Charley Out!’ and holding banners saying the same she remains oblivious to it all.
Charley is just a big bully and will pick on anyone indiscriminately. You would have thought that Big Brother would have learnt their lesson last time and although they did kick Emily out for using a racist comment they seem to think that Charley makes good viewing.
They don’t seem to care that her behaviour is offensive to both viewers and other housemates and have been accused of manipulating the voting to keep her him.
I for one hope she will be up for eviction next week and get booted out to the most hostile crowd ever. The sad thing is Charley is going to be rewarded both in terms of fame and fortune having been on the show but does she really deserve it?
St. Swithin’s Day is 15th July, a day on which people watch the weather for tradition says that what ever the weather is like on St. Swithin’s Day, it will continue so for the next forty days.
St. Swithin (or more properly, Swithun) was a Saxon Bishop of Winchester and legend says that as he lay on his deathbed, he asked to be buried out of doors, where he would be trodden on and rained on. For nine years, his wishes were followed, but then, the monks of Winchester attempted to remove his remains to a splendid shrine inside the cathedral on 15 July 971. According to legend there was a heavy rain storm either during the ceremony or on its anniversary.
This led to the old wives’ tale (folklore) that if it rains on St Swithin’s Day (July 15th), it will rain for the next 40 days in succession, and a fine 15th July will be followed by 40 days of fine weather.
As I look out of the window now it is pouring with rain so much so that we have even lost the satellite TV signal.
